Nel pomeriggio del 27 aprile gli studenti della 2B e 2J della nostra scuola sono usciti alla scoperta del nostro torrente, insieme all’insegnante di Gography E. Russell e alle prof.sse curriculari L. Levati ed E. Schianchi. I ragazzi sono scesi sul torrente in prossimità del ponte e hanno svolto le attività di rilevazione di diversi dati:

• Larghezza del fiume
• Profondità media
• Dimensione del carico
• La velocità dell’acqua
• Gradiente del fiume
• Gradiente degli argini del fiume

È stata un’esperienza di lavoro di gruppo e di esperienza sul campo, come il programma di Cambridge International favorisce.

I ragazzi hanno esperito i contenuti didattici in prima persona creando insieme la propria competenza. Un’occasione per conoscersi meglio e fare merenda a fine attività!

In the afternoon of the 27th of April, the students of the second year of our school, 2B and 2J, took a trip to discover more about our river, together with Geography teacher E. Russell and curricular teachers L. Levati and E. Schianchi. The students descended towards a short path next to the bridge and reached the river to carry out various measurements through which they collected data on:

• The width of the river
• The mean depth of the river
• The size of the rocks in the river
• The velocity of the water
• The gradient of the river
• The gradient of the levées 

It was a useful practical experience, which strengthened ties among the students of the classes, while giving them the chance to apply what they learned in class and have a snack at the end of the activity!
